Project Description
Learning in school is broken down into subjects, such as: English, Math, etc. Students working on projects discover early on that any problem depends on understanding multiple topics that make up the problem they are trying to solve. These topics are considered to be the ‘Foundational Knowledge’ that students need to understand as part of the solution to their problem
Why Use this Project?
Foundational Knowledge is important to learn because it is the original knowledge upon which new knowledge is built. It can take the form of knowledge of a problem, the solution and foundational competencies that include capacity for critical thinking.
