Engineering, Programming, Science, TechnologyProject Description
This project is designed to align with NGSS and Common Core standards and includes rubrics for evaluating students’ problem-solving and coding skills. Students will identify a real-world problem and use coding or technology to create and test a solution.
Why Use this Project?
This project fosters critical thinking, teamwork, and technical skills by giving students the opportunity to solve real-world problems through coding and technology. It encourages creativity, adaptability, and resilience as students refine their solutions. Teachers will find it useful for integrating STEM concepts, while students gain hands-on experience in problem-solving and coding.
What's Included
- General Guidelines: Students will work in teams, rotating leadership and assigning specific roles.
- Brainstorming: Students will generate ideas for real-world problems and ways to apply technology to solve them.
- Project Planning and Designing: Teams will develop clear goals, assign tasks, and create timelines for designing their solution.
- Project Execution: Students will implement their designs, test their solutions, and iterate based on feedback.
- Experimenting: Students will test the functionality and effectiveness of their coding or technological solutions.
- Presentation: Teams will present their project using slide decks, posters, or videos.
